Northern Lights

Call them the Northern Lights, aurora borealis, skyfire or the burning from the North! This northern natural light display has as many names as there are legends of its creation. From the scientific perspective, the auroras result from disturbances in our magnetosphere caused by solar wind. Finland, and especially Lapland, is a favorable place to spot the Lights, which may occur up to every other night.
